Look into your partner's eyes.
Relationships are a human necessity.

Closer to home.
Partnerships can come in many forms. Today I write to you about my partnership and marriage to my wife Dana.
These past months have though us a lot about human relationships and how we treat one another. Like everyone else during this pandemic, I’ve had time; time to reflect, time to do, and time away.
I couldn't imagine a better life without my beautiful partner beside me. I can full-heartedly says Dana makes me want to be a better person, to others, and to myself.
A little back story ~
Dana and I met in high school, dated on and off, and miraculously found each other again after serval more years living in Chicago. While engaged there were certainly growing pains, emotionally playing games. Even into our first years of marriage we still acted immature, childish, and could be cold to one another. Over everything, our values keep us grounded (family, friends, love), and above all the desire to work through differences.
My take away ~
Everyday needs work – A routine helps and with having easier moments.
Silence – Enjoy slient time around each. Feel cozy next to each other on the couch. Everything will only get busier.
Communication – Talk through our differences and get past any grudges. Even if it means putting yourself in a vulnerable place.
Build something together – Take time towards building a chair, IKEA furniture, or a home. Make decisions together.
Take your time – I’ve found that taking time for yourself is critical, sometimes a 5:00 am bike ride is necessary.
Don’t feel obligated – Let the small things go, tackling the day together.
Flaws – She knows mine, I know hers. I don't try to encourage them.
