Welcome, Welcome, Welcome
I’m very thrilled to finally take the plunge and press send on this email... This is the beginning of my newsletter. Thank you for opening and reading, your support means the world to me and my family.
It’s been one hell of a year, as the year comes to an end, I wanted to introduce this newsletter as something to look forward in the new year. I wrote what I felt this newsletter would feel like, but I feel I’ll update it once I get to more of a flow going.
Closer to home.
My wife and I welcome our first child, Holden Elias Ymeri. We also made it official this year and brought our first home in Chicago. As we look to help our neighbors and others, I encourage that you find local non-profit organizations in your community. Here are a couple of non-profit organizations base in Chicago.
And in other news.
My friend photographer Josh Katz, has gotten to know his neighbors in a unique way during quarantine. One of the more exciting projects I was honored to Design the book cover and layout for Josh’s first photo book, New York in Quarantine: Rooftop Culture Through Crisis.
I shared his kickstarter progress on my instagram account and has come a long way since we first connected about the idea late September. We havn’t gone to print just yet, but I did put together a write-up of the process working on the book. You‘ll read what it took in making this book and behind the scenes drafts.
Next steps.
It’s near the end of the year, projects are backed-up and archived from the year. I look forward to sharing more projects that were created this year. I’ll also have an update on a new website I’ve been working on for my studio practice All Day Dreaming.
I’ll end with this note, I wrote this set of goals down last year in 2019 around this time. Work towards a “5 Year Goal Plan”, writing something down, for me, is a way of focusing my direction. Maybe they change, maybe they stay the same in the 5 year span, however look forward to more on this topic in a future newsletter.
So that’s it from me this year. It’s time to turn off. Have a great and safe NYE.
